FAQs

Q: Do you have free WiFi?

A: Yes, we have guest WiFi available at no charge for our customers. We ask that you keep in mind that we are a small shop, with limited seating capacity. If it’s been more than 90 minutes since you bought a drink or pastry, we kindly ask that you consider making another purchase, or releasing your table to another paying customer. Thank you for supporting our small business!

Q: What drinks can I expect to see on your menu?

A: We have a traditional, modest menu that consists of espresso based drinks (latte, cappuccino, cortado, etc.), batch brew (“drip coffee”), pour overs, and a variety of teas. Our syrups and chocolate are house made from scratch.

Q: Do you roast your own beans?

A: It is our goal to roast our own coffee one day, however for now we are honored to serve Archive Coffee Roasters out of Salem, Oregon.

Q: Do you have food?

A: We are excited to carry fresh pastries from Rose Hill Bakery in Caldwell. We do not prepare any food on the premises.

Q: Why are your drink sizes so small?

A: We believe these sizes are the most optimal for our style of coffee. Anything larger would throw ratios off to the enjoyment of our drinks. In order to compensate for the ratios scaled to larger sizes would require charging a lot more per drink.

Q: What does the name First & Second mean?

A: The eventual goal is to include a craft cocktail bar, having a space that, First, serves coffee in the morning, then, Second, cocktails in the evening, creating a community that facilitates healthy conversation between, First, a stranger, and Second, someone who is now a friend.
